Kind Winds have released another album, "An End". The release
of this album signals the end of the Kind Winds project as a performing and
recording entity, but hopefully it won't be the end of the flow of albums as
recordings from the 12 year history of the band should see the light some
day.
27/1/2008
Also, fresh MP3s are up of selected tracks from the Bad Luck
Charms' CDs Almanac and Rant & Drift.

Some other Moe Grizzly MP3s from Fingering Dixie are now

There's some art-rock-"sooper"-groopin' afoot with the new
line-up of Ma Brain Bridge. Reggie Norris and Colin Henry on guitar,
with Ben Crothers on drums. They did a gig with the stupidly-named
kiddy-crust band, Asking For It. An MP3 of the medley, 'Someone Took
Her Legs' / 'New Wave Rocket', from the gig is currently available from the
MP3s section of the site.
21/9/2007
After recently releasing the compilation, "Almanac" and a new album,

of this site.

There's a new band on the streets of Hobart, and on the Consumer
Productions label. They're called Blind Billie Speed, and they do
droney-bluesy-instrumental-psych-jam-improv stuff. Catchcries so far
include, "1 bass, 2 guitars, 3 beats and the fucking truth!" and "No pedals,
no distortion, no songs". Featuring Reggie Norris and Ben
Crothers on guitar, Dan Cross on bass and beats provided by a Farfisa Bravo
organ. You can sample the sound by downloading the two song excerpts
available in the MP3s section.
24/3/2007
The Bad Luck Charms are preparing a CD (as in a proper one, not a
CD-R) release collating all their previous CD-R releases. The
band has also just entered the studio to record a new album. Anthony
Rochester is behind the desk for this one.
24/3/2007
The much awaited Kind Winds album "Inside the Minds of Unwell
Men" is now officially released and available. It features 7 tracks,
sourced from both the studio and the stage. If you live in Hobart, you
can pick it up from Tommy Gun records in Elizabeth Street. If you need
it to be sent to you, email me
(benthec@yahoo.com) and I'll sort something out. Oh, by the way,
it's absolutely fucking incredible amazing...
24/3/2007
Yeah, sorry about that... I got a job and lost track of
everything else for a little while there. There's been things
happening though, I'll lay it all out one at a time...
19/12/2006
There are currently a couple of MP3 previews of tracks from Kind
Winds' upcoming album, "Inside The Minds Of Unwell Men", available on the

The Little Punk", which will feature bonus experimental weird shit.
The release will again be at Trout in North Hobart, Saturday 23rd December.
Early next year will see the release of Moe Grizzly's "The Man From France"
cassette (first CP cassette in, like, a million years!), and Kind Winds',
"Inside The Minds Of Unwell Men" album. Wow.

at Aroma records if you live in Hobart, or by contacting CP through this
site.

the availability of MP3s of some selected tracks from the unreleased
Avoidable Droid album, "Frown". The full album may see a short-run

option. Check 'em in the Unreleased MP3s section.

in the year, and will be accompanied by two live tracks.

Sometime in the near future,
a live CD from End Show will appear. Given the improvisational nature
of the band, their live performances often produce rare moments of glorious
succulence. As a taster, an out-take from the CD is available below in
MP3 format.
6/4/2006
Mp3s from The Gentlemen have been uploaded. The tracks are
taken from the last recording sessions in the band's history. The
Gentlemen are arguably of the greatest bands in Hobart rock history.
They formed in 1996 and have been quiet for the last couple of years.
The complete recordings are an hour long, spanned over 13 tracks. One
day soon the remaining tracks will be available in some form.
29/3/2006
Check out below, mp3s of a recording of the recent I Made A Periscope performance at the Trout for Beat Rag #3. This shit is mind-blowing.
